Hours after announcing they were expecting their second child, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden attended a post-Oscar party in the Hollywood Hills. The couple left one year old daughter Harlow at home for the night, and stayed out until 4am at private house party hosted by Rick Yorn, Patrick Whitesell, Mike Deluca, and Brent Bolthouse.

A witness said the still-tiny Nicole “looks very happy.”

Rumors of a “Gossip Girl” guest spot for Nicole Richie were incorrect, according to her rep. A New York tab ran a piece of this week that claimed Nicole “loves Gossip Girl and she wants a really bitchy, juicy role.”

Unfortch, Nicole’s rep said the report was “not true.”

Ok, fine, no “Gossip Girl,” but do you think Nicole could do a “Mary Tyler Moore Show” remake? I really want to see her throw that hat up in the air with “you’re gonna make it after all!” blaring in the background.

Now that Angelina Jolie is seemingly out of the race to make more babies, Star Magazine found a new celeb to focus their pregnancy rumors on. The tab claimed Nicole Richie intends to give her almost-one-year-old daughter Harlow a sibling sometime in the near future.

Nicole reportedly started taking vitamins, eating healthy, and designed a maternity wear line all in preparation for her second child with Joel Madden.

“Nicole simply told Joel that she wants another baby right away,” a friend confides to Star. “He was a little overwhelmed at first, but now he’s with her 100 percent. They’re both thrilled about adding to their family.”

Nicole and Joel went through a “rough patch, but now things are amazing between them,” says a source. “Nicole knows it’s because they’re both so happy with Harlow, and she truly believes another baby will double their commitment.”

Honestly, I kind of wasn’t expecting Nicole to get pregnant again until she had another jail sentence to avoid.

Despite recent rumors, Rihanna and Kelly Osbourne are not helping Nicole Richie put an album together.

“That’s not true. Although I think that Rihanna and Kelly Osbourne are very talented, that’s completely false,” Richie said.

Richie hasn’t, however, ruled music out completely. “I do eventually [want to record an album], but right now I have a lot on my plate,” she says. “I’ve really been working hard, going on auditions for acting, doing design for my line, and being a mom, so that pretty much takes up my days.”

“Right now I’m reading scripts and really trying to take my work seriously,” says Richie.

Nicole also has her daughter’s first Christmas to focus on. Eleven month old Harlow will spend the holiday in LA with Nicole and dad Joel Madden.
