Kathy Hilton opened up about her daughter’s recent stint in LA County Jail, saying it was an awful experience for both Paris and her entire family. Perhaps the worst part, Kathy claimed, was “seeing the rashes on her arms and face from the thin sheets.” Yes, skin irritation is devastating.

Equally difficult was witnessing the correctional facility’s guards physically pulling her 26-year-old daughter away after one visit, “grabbing her under the arm,” and then seeing the words “L.A. County” printed on the back of Paris’s jail jumpsuit.

For Paris’s homecoming, her mother wished to comfort the Simple Life star, so she set up a room in what, she said, “used to be the baby nursery for the grandchildren at [Paris's grandfather's] house. I had fresh, really soft towels, and really soft sheets and one of those really soft, cuddly [blankets] called ‘my blankey,’ and nice soft pillow cases.”

Kathy Hilton’s rationale, she said, was that Paris had “been in jail, obviously with the very thin sheets and one pillow and one little thin blanket. That’s how [inmates] get rashes. It feels like sandpaper.”

Paris’s reaction to all this softness, says her mother, was that “she went in, and she looked at the Fresh Farms soap, and she looked at the towels and the Evian water by her bedside. I wanted to make her feel really welcome. And we went downstairs and made a sandwich. And she ran outside with her doggie. And she ran, and she was screaming, ‘Oh, this feels so good. I feel so lucky.’ ”

That was the first day home. “But then,” says Kathy, “the next day she got up and the emotions [kicked] in. She couldn’t really sleep [in] – she was working that day, doing a photo shoot. I made her a big breakfast. She had pancakes. She said, ‘Mom, I want eggs, I want pancakes, I want waffles, I want toast, fresh juice.’ ”

Prepared to indulge her daughter’s wishes, Hilton says, “I went and picked oranges and made her fresh juice. And then that night, she could not go to sleep.”

Lindsay Lohan’s whereabouts are the talk of the town lately. Although some sources place Lindsay at her mother’s home in Long Island, others claimed the actress checked into a rehab clinic in Utah.

According to Access Hollywood, Lindsay is holed up at the posh Cirque Lodge rehab facility in Sundance, Utah.

Cirque Lodge was recently named by Town and Country magazine as one of the top substance abuse treatment facilities consistently providing outstanding levels of care.

Cirque Lodge provides alcohol rehab and drug rehab treatment services at two main facilities: the Lodge and the Studio. The Lodge is described as “a private substance abuse mountain retreat with stunning views of both the Sundance Ski Resort and the cirque on beautiful 12,000 foot Mount Timpanogos.” The drug treatment center at the Studio is located near the base of Mount Timpanogos and the mouth of Provo Canyon, a world-renowned fly-fishing and ice climbing area.

This trip seems like a major waste of time, in my opinion; if Lindsay actually is at Cirque Lodge, this would be her third trip to rehab this year.
 

I still have no clue why Mena Suvari shaved her head, but I’m happy she hasn’t glued extensions onto her scalp yet. Mena and her newly-shorn hair hit Venice Beach over the weekend with a few homies.

Britney Spears reportedly suffered another photoshoot freak out. Although this one was far less severe than her OK! Magazine meltdown, sources claimed Britney walked out of a shoot with Allure without doing the accompanying interview she promised to the editors. Despite this, Allure Editor In Chief Linda Wells claimed the mag was thrilled to work with Britney.

“I thought we could present the profile as her comeback. Perhaps Britney’s story would be redemptive, like those of Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore and Mariah Carey before her.” Instead, Britney took the photos and bailed — she missed four scheduled interviews with writer Judith Newman, and the accompanying comeback story went untold.

Newman instead penned a story about the state of celebrities in 2007, and Allure crafted the cover line “Britney Spears: Tells Us Nothing and Everything.”

Britney apparently learned something from the incident: although she’s been manager-free this year, TMZ reported Britney recently hired big name manager Jeff Kwatinez to help resurrect her career.

Nicole Richie claimed she’s comfortable with gaining weight now that she’s four months pregnant with her first child. While Nicole has been accused of fostering an eating disorder, the starlet said she has no issues with food, and eats once every hour.

“It’s what my baby needs and to me, numbers don’t mean anything. If I gain 40 pounds, if I gain 50 pounds, then that’s obviously what my body needs to do. I’m totally OK with that,”

“I eat all the time, especially now. I’m constantly hungry. I’m eating at least every hour,” she says. “And just like any mother, you want to take the best care of yourself, especially while you’re pregnant. I’m definitely eating healthier now.”

When confronted with the question of whether she had an eating disorder, she said: “No, I do not have an eating disorder. I’ve never had an eating disorder, ever,” Richie said. “It’s anxiety, it’s stress, it’s just, it’s just not being careful.”
