Although still unconfirmed by her reps, Entertainment Tonight reported that 36 year old Christina Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The past month has not been a good one for the “Samantha Who” star: Christina’s boyfriend, Lee Grivas, died of a drug overdose in his LA home on July 1.

Update: Christina’s rep confirmed the unfortunate news.

“Benefitting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening,” the Emmy nominated Samantha Who? star’s rep said in a statement. “Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery.”

LAPD Chief William Bratton claimed this week that his city doesn’t need stricter laws against paparazzi because Lindsay Lohan has kept herself busy with a relationship with Samantha Ronson.

“If you notice, since Britney started wearing clothes and behaving; Paris is out of town not bothering anybody anymore, thank God, and evidently, Lindsay Lohan has gone gay, we don’t seem to have much of an issue.”

Lindsay caught wind of Chief Bratton’s comments, and wasn’t exactly happy about it.

“Police chiefs shouldn’t get involved in everyone else’s business when it comes to their personal life. It’s inappropriate,” Lohan said in a video shot by paparazzi Friday and posted on TMZ.com. In the footage, Lohan and gal pal Samantha Ronson are trekking through the Los Angeles Airport on their way to catch a flight to Chicago.

Chief Bratton later cleared up his statements, saying his sister is gay and he is a proponent of gay rights, so he didn’t intend any disrespect towards Lindsay and Samantha.

After spending the week in the hospital, Shia LaBeouf left Cedar-Sinai Hospital following surgery on his hand. Shia’s attorney confirmed his hand was “crushed” in his weekend traffic accident. Doctors kept Shia in the hospital for an extended period of time because they were concerned about infection.

“The force of (the) impact immediately flipped Shia’s vehicle over, and, as a result, Shia’s left hand was crushed,” said his attorney Michael Norris in a statement.

“Shia underwent four hours of surgery on Sunday and has been recovering since then,” the statement continues. “His doctors remain hopeful that he will fully recover, but due to extensive surgery and the nature of the injuries, there remains a substantial risk of both infection and other complications.”

LaBeouf, 22, suffered the injuries when his truck collided with another vehicle in West Hollywood at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

“We have also received information that suggests that the other driver may have been traveling upwards of 50 mph, and that said driver may not have been looking forward at the time of the accident,” the lawyer says.

A sheriff’s spokesman said there was evidence that the other driver may have ran a red light. Shia was cited for for misdemeanor DUI because “he was showing obvious signs of intoxication from the smell of alcohol coming from his breath,” said sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Wolf.

Police arrested “Hairspray” star Nikki Blonsky and her father this week after a bizarre fight at the Turks and Caicos airport. Nikki reportedly attempted to save five seats for her family in the lounge, which angered seat-less America’s Next Top Model loser Bianca Golden and her family.

The resulting melee landed Nikki in a neckbrace, and charged with assault. Bianca was also slapped with an assault charge for her part in the family brawl.

The action got so bitchtastic, says a spy, that one member of the Golden team actually bit Nikki’s foot.

Both divas have been charged with assault — Blonsky with two counts! But get this — Nikki’s father Carl was also charged with inflicting bodily harm, for his alleged beatdown of Eleine Golden, Bianca’s mom.

Both Nikki and Bianca have been released on bail, but Carl’s gotta cool his heels in jail until August 8th. All parties will have to book a trip back to the islands this fall to appear in court.

Bianca’s mother, Eleine Golden, was injured so badly, she was airlifted to the ICU of a Miami hospital. Sources claimed she suffered from a “serious head injury.”
