Although I assumed Lindsay Lohan has never read a book in her life, she apparently has read a few books, and even has a favorite author.

The starlet, who’s currently dating deejay Samantha Ronson and shooting “Labor Pains” in LA, is a “huge fan” of author Tori Kropp. While Lindsay was filming a scene where she had to pull a book off a shelf, she chose Kropp’s “The Joy of Pregnancy.” Our spy explained, “Tori is a well-known supporter of same-sex marriages and relationships.”

Total coincidence, but it’s kind of cute, so I’ll just go with it.

It seems hard to believe, but Madonna turned 50 years old today. The singer was born Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone in Bay City, MI on August 16, 1958.

Now that Madonna is old enough to officially qualify for a senior citizens discount through AARP, you would expect her to chill out and enjoy her half-century old life. But no, she has no plans to sit around: Madonna’s “Sticky and Sweet” world turn kicks off August 23.

Now that he’s no longer allowed to interfere with his daughter’s career, Michael Lohan was forced to find another starlet to latch onto. Lindsay Lohan’s dad set his sights on Jessica Simpson, and even attempted to convince her business manager that he could get Jessica a beverage deal.

“I had [a] meeting with the Vitamin Water inventors and my investors last night,” Lohan wrote in an e-mail forwarded to Page Six. “And that’s where you come in . . . When we spoke, it was to attach Jessica as a spokesperson for the new vitamin-infused beverage line.”

I would love to know who Michael Lohan’s “investors” are. Stephen Baldwin perhaps?

Police arrested Craig Robinson, best known as “Darryl” from NBC’s The Office, for possession of drugs. Robinson was pulled over in for a traffic violation in Culver City, CA on June 29, and cops allegedly found pot, meth, and ecstasy in his possession.

Officers discovered drugs in his car and also found Robinson to be under the influence of amphetamines, cocaine and cannabinoids, according to a felony complaint filed by the L.A. County District Attorney’s office.

“I can confirm a Craig Robinson was charged with two felonies, possession of a controlled substance, and misdemeanor DUI,” Lt. Carlos Reynosa of the Culver City Police Department said.

Robinson refused to comment on the case. He is expected in court on August 21.
