Natasha Richardson’s husband, Liam Neeson, released a statement a few moments ago confirming the actress died today.

Natasha Richardson’s family reportedly decided to take the actress off life support. The decision came two days after Natasha suffered a traumatic brain injury while skiing in Quebec.

According to the New York Post, Natasha’s husband, Liam Neeson, and mother, Vanessa Redgrave, along with Natasha’s two young sons, are holding a vigil by her bedside at NYC’s Lenox Hospital while she lays brain dead.

Christina Ricci’s rep confirmed this week that the actress is engaged to someone named Owen Benjamin. The couple met in November 2008 while filming “All’s Faire in Love.”

Christina previously dated Adam Goldberg off and on from 2003 to 2006.

Amy Winehouse showed up to a London court yesterday to plead not guilty to assaulting a fan at a charity ball. The singer, who arrived late and blew kisses to the photographers, teetered on heels and had a difficult time keeping her short dress pulled down.

Winehouse, 25, is charged with punching dancer Sherene Flash at the ball in Berkeley Square last September.

Ms Flash, 30, is said to have asked her for a photo and while the star initially agreed, she then allegedly lashed out.

Winehouse is then said to have fled the star-studded event crying: “Life can’t go on.”

The judge released Amy on bail and set the trial for July 23.

According to Friday’s issue of Us Weekly, LeAnn Rimes is having an affair with some dude she co-starred in a TV movie with. LeAnn, who married effeminate back up dancer Dean Sheremet in 2002, reportedly hooked up with actor Eddie Cibiran on the set of Lifetime’s TV movie “Northern Lights.”

Damn you, Lifetime! You’ve ruined yet another marriage.

“From the moment we rehearsed, LeAnn and Eddie honestly developed a really strong bond and a warm relationship,” director Mike Robe told Us prior to news of the affair.

Their rapport carried off the set as well.

The new Us Weekly features pictures taken from a video security camera that show the two holding hands and kissing on a romantic dinner date at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach, California on March 7. Additionally, Us Weekly reports that the new couple met for a three-hour tryst at the Malibu Beach Inn on March 14.

Following her head injury on a Quebec ski slope, Natasha Richardson’s family gathered at Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC for what sources described as a “vigil.”

Natasha’s mother, Vanessa Redgrave, and husband, Liam Neeson, reportedly came to say goodbye to the 45 year actress, who is not expected to recover from the traumatic brain injury.

“There is no chance,” a family friend told People on Tuesday night. “It is a fact that her heart is beating but she is brain dead.”

Her dire condition, doctors described it to those close to Richards as “leakage of blood between the brain and skull,” the friend says, has the actress’s family coming to grips with potentially having to make an unthinkably difficult decision. “It’s not official yet,” says the friend, “but they basically will detach her.”

Liam, who has two sons with Natasha, is expected to make an announcement regarding the accident sometime later today.
