I know most of CW’s readers have no clue who the Germs are, and simply couldn’t give a shit about their biopic, but I was just talking to ShellyMC about the film’s release date, so I thought I’d give a quick update.

Although “What We Do is Secret” was finished and ready to be released last year, the movie studio pushed the release date back countless times. Despite that, it looks as though there is finally a firm date.

The movie–which chronicles the life of Germs’ singer Darby Crash–will finally be shown in select cities starting in August. It co-stars Shane West and Bijou Phillip, and will probably suck, but I felt like telling you about it anways.

I’m pretty sure Shane West is about 15 years too old for the part. Bijou makes me barf. Nonetheless, I’m pretty sure I will still go see it. I love the Germs.
