According to Star Magazine, Angelina Jolie has suffered from postpartum depression since giving birth to twins three months ago. The tab claimed partner Brad Pitt pushed Angelina to seek intensive therapy.

While living in France, the actress reportedly saw a psychiatrist on a daily basis, and now that the family has relocated to Berlin, Angelina continued the sessions via telephone and webcam.

“Angelina didn’t want to accept the fact that she was struggling after the twins were born and was really resistant to Brad’s pleas for her to get help,” an insider tells Star. “But she finally agreed.”

The mother of six has been unhappy with her body since the July 12 birth of Knox and Vivienne, sources say, and has hardly been eating.

“She still thinks she’s fat,” says a source. “She barely touches the food that is brought to her. After a few bites she’ll say, ‘Take it away; I’m not hungry.’ Brad is trying to get her to eat more, but she has no appetite. She clearly has a problem with her self-image. She’s lost some of the baby weight but thinks she still has fat on her stomach. Brad tells her she doesn’t and thinks it’s all in her head, but she still thinks she sees it.”

You know what might help with that depression? Collecting another orphan.

I hope she’s truly getting help. PPD isn’t something to mess around with.
And she certainly doesn’t need any more kids . Especially not now.
    Or, you know, EVER.

I would think the cure for postpartum depression would be something like oh, I don’t know, being insanely rich and boinking Brad Pitt every night, maybe.

Celebrity or not, people get depresed after giving birth. I pray she pulls herself together for the sake of the beautiful children.

It’s not about maturity or immaturity, it’s chemical. Also, there is not one woman among my acquaintances who has never felt that she was fat/unattractive/misshapen when she clearly was not. It’s just a manifestation of depression.
