In the new issue of W Magazine, Angelina Jolie admitted she took her seven year old son, Maddox, shopping for knives. Why? I have no clue.

“We take him to a special shop. We also talk about samurais and the idea about defending someone as good. We talk about everything.”

She added it is something of a family tradition, her late mother, Marcheline Bertrand, had taken her shopping for a knife when she was just 11.

She added: “I collected knives and always had certain things around. For some reason, the ritual of having cut myself and feeling the pain, maybe feeling alive, feeling some kind of release, it was somehow therapeutic to me.”

In other news, I intend to one-up Angelina when I have children, and take them shopping for hand grenades when they’re toddlers.
