The Beckhams are set to leave their life in Los Angeles behind… at least for a couple months, anyway. David Beckham signed a two month loan deal to play with soccer with AC Milan. Starting in January, David will get a break from his losing LA Galaxy team to play with a winning EU team.
The planned deal was disclosed by Adriano Galliani, the aC Milan president, who said: “He will be a club player for a few months and then leave. Beckham chose Milan.
“Our team is ultra competitive and will remain so but Beckham is something different and intriguing.” AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti added: “For me it would be a pleasure to have Beckham here, he is a serious athlete, a great professional. If he were available for months we would be very happy.”
The former England captain is determined to keep his place in the national team and a spell on loan in Europe during the close of the Major League Soccer close season will help him to maintain his fitness for the national side.
The short stay in the fashion capital of the world will give David’s wife, Victoria Beckham, a chance to work on her clothing line.
The family must return to the States by April, so David can start the new soccer season with LA Galaxy.
