Joaquin Phoenix, who gets kookier by the year, claimed he intends to end his successful film career, and instead concentrate on music. Because 30 Seconds to Mars wasn’t annoying enough to the general public?
“I want to take this opportunity… also to give you the exclusive and just talk a little bit about the fact that this will be my last performance as an actor… I’m not doing films anymore,” he told the “Extra” television program.
He said Tuesday he would now focus on music, without giving details.
Joaquin’s latest movie (which I guess is supposed to be his final performance) is “Two Lovers,” co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow. It debuts in February.

Did he do the singing in Walk the Line? I thought they dubbed in Johnny Cash’s voice, but someone told me it was him singing and if so, then he’s probably got a career to look forward to. It just kind of sucks because he’s such a great actor.
