Dina Lohan spoke out against rumors that her daughter, Lindsay Lohan, was fired from the ABC comedy “Ugly Betty.” Sources claimed Lindsay trashed her dressing room, acted bizarrely off-camera, brought along a huge posse, and worst of all, couldn’t get along with the show’s star, America Ferrera. Dina denied all that, and said Lindsay “had fun” working with America.

“It was just silly. America’s a doll. And they said [Lindsay] brought a posse. It was my mother and myself, and [sister] Ali. It was not a posse. We had sushi and no one trashed the room.

“She had fun on Ugly Betty,” says Dina, who spoke with People Monday at Animal Fair magazine’s Halloween Pet Costume Party in New York City. “It was long hours and when you’re on a movie set it’s a lot different. She’s not used to television, but it was fun.”

Lindsay’s rep confirmed that her story arc was cut from six episodes to only four, but refused to give a reason why.
