Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen signed copies of their new coffee table book, Influence, at a Barnes & Noble in NYC yesterday, but they weren’t too keen on mixing with their crowd of admirers. The store posted a long list of rules for fans lined up to meet the twins.
Rule number one: don’t you dare ask Mary-Kate or Ashley to read anything, for God’s sake.
“Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen will be with us for a limited time,” the sheet stated. “They will only be signing copies of their book . . . They will not be speaking, reading or taking questions.” The 9-point list also warned that the Olsens “will not sign any memorabilia or product other than ‘Influence;’ ” “There is a limit of one book per person and, “There is no photography allowed. You must put away your camera or cellphone before approaching the signing table.”
PETA protested outside the store during the event, and even donned ugly little Mary-Kate and Ashley masks and signs that read “Fur Tramps.”

Did you know one of the PETA protestors wore fur? OK, it was probably fake, but The Deceiver makes a good point.

Wow, I’m glad to see they’re interested in their fans. Whatever. They’re idiots trying desperately to hold onto the fame they had when they were still cute little girls on Full House. It’s not working, the glory days are far gone. Just go into hiding and spend all your money in peace.
