A rep for Peaches Geldof (why does this broad even have a rep?) denied the British teen planned to divorce husband Max Drummey. The couple eloped in Las Vegas three months ago after knowing each for only a few weeks. A source told News of the World their new life together in NYC wasn’t going well, and the marriage was over.
Last month, Miss Geldof admitted her decision to marry was a ‘little bit nuts.’
She went on to hint the marriage might not last, explaining: ‘I didn’t go into it with Max thinking, “This is going to last forever”. But I did go into it thinking, “I love him right now and I know that I will continue to love him for a long while”.’ However according to sources close to the couple, the ‘long while’ may be rather shorter than predicted.
Following a series of rows at their New York home, the model and DJ is said to have told friends: ‘It’s over. I just don’t fancy him anymore.’
A friend of Miss Geldof’s told the News of the World: ‘Peaches is going to divorce Max. She woke up to realize the marriage was a huge mistake and that Max is not the man of her dreams.
‘We all warned her not to rush into this but Peaches, being as defiant and cocky as ever, just ploughed in head first.
‘Over the past few weeks they hardly spent any time together in America. When they did, they got on each other’s nerves.’
“I just don’t fancy him anymore…” How pathetic.
Anyhoo, Peaches admitted she did tell friends she planned to divorce Max, but the comments were “said in the heat of the moment.”
