In January 2006, Lindsay Lohan reportedly scribbled the following message about Scarlett Johansson on a bathroom wall at an NYC bar: “Scarlett is a bloody cunt / L / Peace and love / [illegible] / fucker.”

In the December issue of Allure,  Scarlett claimed she has no idea why Lindsay would leave such a “vulgar” message about her in a public restroom.

“I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times,” says the actress, 23, who lost the lead role in The Parent Trap to Lohan when she was 13.

“That’s what I heard,” Johansson says of the incident. “I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar. I mean, shockingly so, like, ‘Whoa, what, who are you?’”

Scarlett does have a connection to Lindsay that she may or may not be aware of: at the time of the graffiti incident, both girls were dating Jared Leto.

Graffiti always leads back to Jared Leto, doesn’t it?
