After Pete Wentz canceled an appearance on the Larry King Show last week due to “breaking news and scheduling conflicts,” many assumed his way-pregnant wife, Ashlee Simpson, had given birth. Pete squashed the rumor on Sunday evening when he phoned in a message to TRL, saying the baby was “not here yet!”

Ashlee’s sister Jessica Simpson told Ellen DeGeneres on Monday that she is very eager to give birth, and may decide to induce labor.

“They’re going to have to. It’s already developing really quick,” Jessica said.

Ashlee, described by Wentz more than two weeks ago as due at any moment, has already tried other ways to begin labor.

“Different foot massages and stuff,” Jessica told DeGeneres in the show airing Wednesday. “I don’t know. I think she’s really just jumping around trying everything right now.”

Photographers spotted Ashlee at the Beverly Hills Medical Plaza yesterday, but she did not pause for a comment.
