Some time shortly after the release of “The Chronicles of Riddick,” America collectively decided to forget Vin Diesel existed in an effort to help pacify our embarrassment for calling him “the next big thing” after his performance in “Saving Private Ryan.”

Five years later, Vin is still making horrible sequels to horrible films, but now he’s got himself a hot baby-mama, and that makes him somewhat more palatable. Vin brought out his baby-mama this week for her first official red carpet event at the the American Cinematheque Honours, and while she’s amazingly hot, it doesn’t make up for all the “Fast and Furious” films.

In case you’re wondering, her name is Paloma Jimenez, and I’m guessing she’s a model of some sort. She gave birth to Vin’s first child, a daughter named Hania Riley, last April.
