Infamous pinup queen Bettie Page died Thursday night in a Los Angeles hospital. Bettie, who was 85, suffered a heart attack nine days prior to her death.
Bettie gained famed in the 1950’s with her ground-breaking modeling and personal style. She appeared in men’s magazines in bondage and fetish-themed photo sets, and became one of the first Playmates of the Month for Playboy in 1955, after being hand-picked by Hugh Hefner.

Bettie, you will be sorely missed in the world of pin-up art. Your images transformed and art form and transcend generations. You will be missed but always remembered.

I was so amazed to find out that there is no other picture of Bettie apart from the ones she did for various magazines. Isn’t this crazy?
