Despite rumors, Mickey Rourke will not turn professional wrestler. A report surfaced over the weekend claiming “The Wrestler” star would take on WWE star Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania 25 in April in Houston.

Mickey’s spokesperson, Paula Woods, released a statement denying he would appear at Wrestlemania.

Woods wrote in an e-mail that the Oscar-nominated actor “will not be participating in Wrestlemania. He is focusing entirely on his acting career.”

Mickey is partially responsible for the Wrestlemania hubbub: while walking the red carpet at the SAG Awards, Mickey joked he would toss Chris Jericho “around the ring like tossed salad.”
