After facing wide criticism for her leaked “Asian photo,” Miley Cyrus released a formal apology this week on her website.

..my friends offended anyone. I have learned a valuable lesson from this and know that sometime my actions can be unintentionally hurtful. I know everything is a part of GODs ultimate plan, and mistakes happen so that eventually I will become the woman he aspires me to be. Peace and love, Miles.”

Last week, Miley seemed oddly defiant in regards to the photo. She claimed she wasn’t “making fun of any ethnicity,” but was instead just “making goofy faces.” Miley went on to blame the media for blowing the photo out of proportion, and wondered aloud why we couldn’t focus on attention on Britney’s Caucasian ass.
