Mandy Moore’s rep confirmed this week that the singer/actress is engaged to songwriter Ryan Adams. The two started dating in March 2008, but split over the summer because Ryan claimed he was “allergic to paparazzi” attention.
“Mandy is one of those genuinely sweet angelic people you wish to meet your whole life,” Adams told Us then, adding “unfortunately I am allergic to paparazzi and have found the best antidote to that sort of nonsense is staying behind the guitar and typewriter.”
Following the split, Mandy reportedly hooked back up with ex-boyfriend DJ AM, but that didn’t apparently last long: photographers snapped Mandy wearing an engagement ring while grocery-shopping in LA with Ryan yesterday.

Ryan Adams is a musical genius! Looks mean nothing to people who actually have a heart. If you love someone nothing else matters. Maybe people should stop judging people from the outside and this world would be a better place!!!
