Former Dead or Alive frontman-turned-plastic surgery victim Pete Burns was rushed to a London hospital after collapsing. Pete underwent a five hour surgery after being diagnosed with kidney failure.

The pain is so severe that he is on a morphine drip, the former Celebrity Big Brother star has announced on his website.

Doctors found eight stones in each kidney, but Burns said they were unable to remove them because of a blockage.

“I’m in a very serious condition on 24 hours intravenous morphine for the pain,’ the 49-year-old said. Intravenous fluid as I’m so dehydrated and the kidneys can’t retain the liquid. I’m critically ill and under 24 hours observation and will be in hospital for quite a long time.”

Pete won a $1.85 million dollar civil suit against a surgeon who botched his collagen implant surgery. The ordeal left Pete so “repulsive,” he said he was unable to leave his home for seven months. Since the original surgery, Pete claimed he underwent over one hundred surgical procedures to correct the damage.
