For reasons I don’t understand, a Seattle nightclub decided it would be a good idea to let convicted child molester Mary Kay Letourneau host a “Hot For Teacher” night on Saturday. Fifty year old Mary Kay co-hosted with her twenty-five year old victim/husband, Vili Fualaau.
Vili originated the idea of ‘Hot for Teacher” night for the club where he now performs as DJ Headline. T-shirts featuring a photo of Mary Kay and Vili under the headline, “Hot for Teacher” were sold for $20. Mary Kay signed the shirts with the message “Oh Happy Day.”
There was also a $5 cover charge to get into the Fuel Sports Eats and Beats club and a $7 charge for a poster announcing the event.
In 1997, Mary Kay plead guilty to statutory rape after her affair with her then-thirteen year old student, Vili. The couple had two daughters together during Mary’s jail stint, and later married in 2005.

Despite the fact that she raped him or whatevs, they seem genuinely happy now that they are both adults in a consenting relationship. Still, very strange, I can’t help but be happy for them too.

^^I’m happy for them too, but how is this sort of display acceptable? It’s cute if a woman does it? I can’t imagine the public support would be there if Joe Francis decided to host some stupid clubnight…quite the contrary.

^^^I’m pretty sure that Joe Francis had hosted thousands of clubnights. They’ve sort of made him more money than these two will see in a million lifetimes.
