In case you were wondering, no, Natalie Portman is not dating Sean Penn. Despite reports of the two “making out” and “cavorting,” Natalie claimed their relationship is strictly platonic.

“Sean Penn is a friend and colleague,” the actress, 27, tells Usmagazine.com. “The reports that we are romantically involved are completely untrue.

“I normally do not respond to rumors about my private life, however, this repeatedly fabricated story has forced me to do so.”

After dating for a few months, Natalie Portman and musician Devendra Banhart decided to end their relationship. The pair hooked up after Natalie signed on to star in his video for “Carmensita,” shot last March.

A fan of Banhart’s music, Portman had asked him to donate a track to the charity compilation she curated on iTunes, Big Change: Songs for FINCA. She returned the favor by forgoing her usual fee to appear in the video.

“They got together right after the video shoot,” a source said at the time.

They also traveled together to Cannes and to Israel.

Natalie Portman brought new boyfriend Devendra Banhart to Cambridge, MA last week, and proved that she doesn’t mind long-haired dudes who smell bad.

The press-shy actress was not being very discreet about her lust for folk-singer beau Devendra Banhart at Harvard’s Class of 2003 reunion in Cambridge. “She would not stop making out in public with him all weekend,” said one attendee, adding, “She pretty much ignored everyone else.”

The couple flew from Boston to LAX earlier this week, and attempted to protect Natalie’s dog from icky paparazzi attention. I’m not sure if this was the same dog that pissed on her a few months ago, but she seemed equally as much into the dog as she is Devendra.

I’m not sure why, but Devendra Banhart bugs the holy hell out of me. Maybe it’s because he looks like he would smell like patchouli. Idk, but I would probably punch him and tell him to get a haircut if I ever encountered him on the street.

Natalie Portman obviously doesn’t share my feelings about the folk singer, because she’s been glued to his side for the past few months. The couple returned from a trip to Israel this month, and have spent most of their time since walking around NYC’s West Village like they don’t have anything else better to do.
