Good news from Edie Falco: the former “Sopranos” star adopted a baby girl in February. Daughter Macy was adopted by single Edie from Florida. Edie’s rep confirmed the news, and “Everybody is thrilled and doing great.”
Macy joins older brother Anderson, 3.

YAY for celebrities who adopt within the US!

HOORAY Edie! Thank you for helping the children within your own country who so need help. You are a hero!
US adoptees are no less worthwhile or fashionable that international adoptees! It makes me happy to see a celeb adopt within the country, which means they had to jump through a lot a crazy hoops and red tape to prove they are a good parent, rather than just donating what to them is a nominal sum of money to whatever 3rd world country (which that money is a huge unsubstantiated amount) is in fashion to get babies from this week.
Edie Falco, you are amazing. Congratulations on your new daughter. May the 2 of you live a long and happy life together.
-Another US adoptee, not adopted until she was six years old because of the red tape and rules on US adoptions. Who is now 35 years old and still loves her parents and has no desire to meet her “birth parents”. Who is also quite distressed about the state of adoptee rights in this country…I have Lupus and I need to know my genetics for health reasons, but have found nothing but “closed” adoption with no information available to help me help myself and continue to live….it’s so frustrating.
