After much speculation, Nick Cannon’s family confirmed the 27 year old singer married 39 year old Mariah Carey.

Family member Linda Cannon told E! that Nick called her with the good news.

“Yes, we know. He called us and told us all about it,” she said. “We are happy for him. If that is what he wants, then we are happy for him.”

She added, “I’m not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him.”

The couple reportedly tied the knot at Mariah’s home in Eleuthera in the Bahamas in a secret ceremony. Unfortunately for Mariah, there was no pre-nup involved.

Mariah and Nick’s respective reps have yet to confirm the news, but Mariah was spotted flashing a 17-carat diamond ring this week.
