I’m not normally someone who criticizes others for wearing fur, but jumping-Jesus-on-a-pogo-stick, Mary-Kate Olsen was photographed carrying a totally redonkelous fur purse while walking through LAX this week.
I mean, come on, does anyone really need a garbage-bag-sized fur purse?

I think Darth is on the right track, although I have an alternate theory. I think the Olsen twins are broke (hence the obvious inability to buy even groceries.) In order to help cut down on expenses, she just climbs inside the bag and gets stuffed in the overhead as carry-on. Whatcha’ think?

First is it Real Fur and then if it is I have no Respect for anyone that has anything to do including wearing fur with the suffering of any living creature for the sake of Vanity, Entertainment or any Monetary purpose . It is well said in the movie The Fast Food…although a very sad state. of how it is in todays world how the Animal Processing Industries of today are comparable and in fact are a Machine and the Machine does Not Care for anything except for Profit with no room for Compassion or even a Thought spent on the Suffering of the animals. Especially distasteful is the wearing of fur for with all the other synthetic alternatives how sad that for the sake of Style,Fashion-VANITY-that STILL TODAY Baby Seals are being clubbed to death in Canada etc,Whales still hunted by Japan-Hooray for GREENPEACE! Cats and Dogs skinned for their fur in China and so on goes the list of atrocities committed every day.In years past when I would speak out for animal rights,compassion some self righteous A..H… would always say animals had more rights then children , etc-Hogwash-but since 1998 I’ve been involved in Compassion for ALL of God’s Creations by also being a Therapeutic Foster Mom so to all the A…H…. out there who still say that or those who sympathize but do nothing and thereby share the guilt -ACT for the POWER OF ONE BECOMES THE POWER OF MANYl

I can’t imagine for a second that either of the Olsen twins or their ilk would consider animal welfare over fashion. If YSL told them it was next season’s big thing, they’d happily be photographed wearing bloody carcasses as shawls. However, there are plenty of non-celebs who think the same way…

I think it’s ironic. Think back to all of the photos you’ve seen of these two and TRY to deny that they always look a little like Cruella DeVille. I think it’s the hair. Or maybe the crazed look in ther glassy eyes. Speaking of their smiles, have any of you read the Ten O’Clock People by Stephen King? I imagine their smiles are the inspiration for King’s ‘bat-people.’ Hmmm….

The Olsens are indicative of what has happened to America in recent years. They started out as sweet, innocent, wholesome, beautiful little girls. They were admired by all as an example of the All-American child. As time wore on, they became corrupted by those in authority and influenced by those whose only interest in them is monetary (or worse.) They have become the vacuous, image-osessed adults that people malign and avoid unless it suits their purpose.
Hopefully November wil bring BIG change.
