Britney Spears’ father, Jamie Spears, left his job as a caterer in order to manage his daughter’s life on a full-time basis. According to court documents, Jamie was awarded $10,000 from Britney’s estate to cover his first month as her co-conservator. Starting in March, he was given $2,500 a week to look after his daughter.
“The responsibilities he has assumed as conservator … have required [his] full-time attention,” says the request for “replacement compensation.” “As a result, he has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses.”
Normally, I would think it was total bullshit for this dude to be receiving a weekly check from his daughter, but Jamie really seems to be keeping Britney out of trouble. He definitely deserves compensation for keeping her vagina out of camera-range.

I think “keeping the crazy under wraps” is more accurate than “keeping Britney sane”…and it’s probably a 80hr/wk full time job w/assistants.

Shit, she’d probably blow through at least $2,500 in a week if she was up to her old bullshit, on hotel rooms, gas for tooling around, bad wigs…At least this way SOMEone is telling her to cool it.

also, i read elsewhere that he only asked for like 3500 a month - so he’s not all bad.

I’m pretty sure that paying that guy to keep this up is the best money Brit has ever spent in her life! Her first smart move.
