Entertainment Tonight might be sticking by their Brangelina birth announcement, but the rest of the world is now pretty sure ET got duped. A “random impostor” posed as Angelina Jolie’s assistant and sent out “fictionalized tips” to media outlets.
Angelina’s legal firm issued a warning to the media that they should ignore emails from the impostor.
The legal letter warned, “This is a fake. A scam on the media and the public.” The real name of the person who posed as Jolie’s assistant, and duped “Entertainment Tonight” into reporting the premature birth of the Brangelina twins, has been located, we hear. A source tells The News that Jolie’s camp is investigating whether the unnamed impersonator “actively sought out” the attention of the media or “simply replied” to inquiries sent by an “ET” producer.
Dustin Hoffman told reporters at Cannes that Angelina’s babies would be due in August, and it’s beginning to look like he wasn’t joking about the date.
