Now that Britney Spears doesn’t have a real career of her own to deal with, she’s free to do useless guest appearances. Britney decided to follow up her guest-starring role on “How I Met Your Mother” by putting in a guest appearance in the new Pussycat Dolls video.

According to an on-set source, Britney looked “hot and blonde.” How would that even be possible? Did the Pussycat Dolls have a time machine? Time-travel-speed?

The 26-year-old shot her scenes for the tune “When I Grow Up” at the WB lot in Burbank, CA Wednesday while the Dolls filmed in Hollywood.

“It was carefully planned out,” a set source told Usmagazine.com.

“In the scene shot [Wednesday], Britney is driving in a car,” the set source told Us. “They all wave at each other as they are passing in traffic… that is it.

“It is genius and you will love it!” said the source.

“Of course, Britney looks hot and blonde,” the insider added.

“It is a very short sequence, but she [Britney] had a lot of fun with it,” the source told Us. “Britney really likes the Dolls’ music and when she saw them on the MTV [Movie Awards], she was totally down to do the video.”

Next to the she-males in the Pussycat Dolls, I suppose Britney does look alright.
