Tila Tequila, who is primary “famous” for having a shitload of friends on Myspace, told Us Weekly on Wednesday that she believes she helped furthered gay rights. How did she do this? With her cheesy MTV reality show “Shot of Love,” in which she sluts it up with members of both sexes.

“It is because of me. I definitely think [my show] has helped the movement.”

“Before it came out, everyone was still a little apprehensive about [same sex relationships],” she said. “Then they realized, ‘Wow, everyone is really into this stuff, and it is fine.’ The next thing you know, [gay marriage] is legal.”

Does she ever lean more towards one sex than the other?

“I do,” she said. “Sometimes you feel like you get a little too much of one side, and you feel like the other side is better.”

Tila also claimed she’s writing a “self-help” book, and I’m guessing that will also “help the movement.”
