Following a report from Star Magazine claiming he was planning a “$2 million wedding,” Joel Madden posted a fake confirmation on his website. Joel posted a blog entry declaring he married fiance Nicole Richie, and added a fake photo to take the ha-ha a bit further.
“WE DID IT!! NICOLE AND I FINALLY GOT MARRIED!! Click here for pictures!!
“HAHA. JUST KIDDING. So I feel really stupid even posting this, but I’ve been getting calls and texts from my family all week asking me why they weren’t invited to my wedding.
“I guess the only answer I could give them was that I didn’t know we were having one!” he added. “So I just found that Star magazine wrote some story about a 2 MILLION dollar wedding we are supposed to be having, and that’s where it came from.
“Sooooo if you were pissed at me for not inviting you or even telling you, don’t blame me, there’s nothing to worry about,” Madden wrote. “It’s just Star magazine. How long do you think it will be before they write we called it off, or we broke up? I give them a week or two…….”
Under the heading, “Check out my blog for a picture of me and my beautiful bride. All I can say is I am so very happy…….,” Joel posted a photo of two gorillas dressed as a bride and groom.
I have a feeling that photo will lead to a hunger strike from Nicole, worried that fans might think her gorillas looked fat.

I wonder what a celeb must think when they hear the random rumors about themselves? It’s got to be somewhat surreal no?
