Doctors at a London clinic kept Amy Winehouse hospitalized for an additional night following her fainting spell on Monday. The singer was released from the hospital earlier this morning, but after tests came back “inconclusive,” doctors decided to continue watching over Amy and perform additional tests.
Here’s a hint: check the bottom of a whiskey bottle and I think you’ll find the answer.
Her spokesman said: ‘She seems to be fine in herself, but they are taking their time to be sure.
‘She’s staying there for the time being. They are still not quite sure what happened and the tests were inconclusive.’
In a statement yesterday, her spokesman said: ‘Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted.
‘Fortunately, her manager’s assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered and her father, Mitch, took her to hospital as a precaution. They want to make sure she is OK but it wasn’t an emergency dash.’
Observers were concerned earlier today when two ambulance staff entered the house at around 4pm today but left a just few minutes later.
A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said at the time: ‘We were called at approximately 3.50pm to an address in NW1. An ambulance and officer were sent to the scene but we did not treat any patients on the call.’
It is not known who dialled 999 but Winehouse was believed to be in good spirits earlier in the day happily signing autographs for fans.
Winehouse’s father Mitch arrived to check on his daughter soon after and was seen taking her to hospital in his taxi minutes later
OK, place your bets: what’s wrong with Wino? I’m guessing drug overdose or SARS.
