Angelina  Jolie’s rep confirmed today that the actress checked into a maternity ward of a French hospital. The rep claimed Angelina will wait out the birth of her twins in the southern France hospital.

“Yes, Jolie is here, and she is absolutely fine,” the rep says. “There is no need for people to worry.”

Hospital spokesperson Nadine Bauer told the AP that Jolie, 33, had to planned to check into the hospital’s maternity wing for some time. She said Jolie was admitted so she could be kept under surveillance and not to give birth immediately.

Bauer told the AP that Jolie will almost certainly remain in the hospital until she gives birth.

Although Angelina is in the hospital, sources claimed it will probably be a while until she actually gives birth. I’ll be back with more deets as they become available…
