Lindsay Lohan’s legging line is selling surprisingly well. I assumed only prostitutes would need a pair of leggings with built-in knee pads, but I was apparently wrong.
“The collection is blowing out, we were so overwhelmed by the reaction,” Jaye Hersh, owner of Intuition on Pico Boulevard, told E! News. “We have launched other celebrity collections here, and this one is just flying through the door.”
“We launched Lauren Conrad’s collection, we’ve had Mandy Moore, we’ve had various different celebrity lines, but this one really seems to be hitting home.”
Noting the ease with which leggings fit right into that California-casual look, Hersh said, “Everybody loves to wear leggings, and everybody wants a piece of Hollywood. Lindsay is Hollywood.”
I’m thankful right now that Alyk is Boston and still buys leggings at American Apparel.

I resent Hersh’s comment. This is not MY California. I just bought a metric ton of leggings and tights and shit at the Nordstrom summer sale, and I’ll be damned if any of them come with knee pads.

WRONG. Leggings are not a short, pear-shaped girl’s friend by any means. (Unless you want that ice cream cone silhouette.)

LiLo (ok, her management team) was wise enough to keep it simple and at leggings, something she’s always jocking…whereas the rest of these celebs seem to be pushing entire lines of clothing with minimal promotion.

You’re still not going to see me wearing a pair. Of course, I’m a big girl and no leggings should ever be seen on me but no thanks either way.
