Balthazar Getty issued a statement this week, informing us of information we were already well aware of. The “Brothers and Sisters” star confirmed he split from his wife of seven years, Rosetta Getty.

“The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved,” he said in a statement released Monday. “In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further.”

Rosetta fled to Italy with the couple’s four children, but Balthazar soon crashed the Italy party. Unfortch, he didn’t arrive to make up with his wife: Balthazar and new girlfriend Sienna Miller have been spotted all over the Amalfi coast, making out in various states of undress.

Rosetta’s friends claimed the designer is “humiliated” by Balthazar and Sienna’s two month relationship.

“It’s humiliating,” a friend said. “Rosetta left the country to protect the kids, and he continues to see Sienna publicly.”
