Ethan Hawke’s new wife, Ryan Shawhughes, gave birth to a daughter last Friday in NYC. Clementine Jane Hawke is the couple’s first child together.
Hawke, 37, and Shawhughes quietly tied the knot in New York City in June.
In January, Hawke’s rep confirmed that he and Shawhughes were expecting their first child together.
“They’re thrilled!” the rep said.
Hawke met Shawhughes after she began working as a nanny for his two children, Maya, 10, and Levon, 6, whom he has with his ex, actress Uma Thurman. (They did not date until after his 2004 split with Thurman.)
Uma, meanwhile, announced her engagement to wicked rich dude Arpad “Arki” Busson earlier this month.

I love it when guys leave their wives for the nanny and then say shit like “we didn’t date until after the marriage broke up.”
Which translates to, “we didn’t date while I was married but we were screwing every chance we got.”

It’s true. But Ethan and Uma were so miserable together. Back then she told the Oprah she had a rough period during the divorce period and that she blames herself for their break up, because if she had paid more attention to her husband than to her career, she would still be married now. I remember that she said “We were having a difficult time… Our marriage failed. I should take full responsibility for the failure of my own marriage.” So… I thought…Why everyone blame Ethan? He made a mistake, of course, but it’s easy enough to say guilt…guilt…guilt. But it isn’t easy to keep unhappy marriage for long time. Besides all of us know that Tarantino hang over Uma all the time. So… I don’t like so much Ryan, but I’m glad to see Ethan happy again. Is he? You never know…
