Despite reports from British tabloids, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are not engaged. Or, at least, that’s what the couple’s respective reps told People Magazine.

“They are not engaged, getting married or any of the reports,” the reps tell People exclusively, calling the reports “lies.”

The Daily Mail claimed Jake and Reese planned to marry around Christmas-time this year.
