Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm announced on her website today that she is pregnant with her first child. Mel C and her boyfriend of six years, Thomas Starr, expect their kiddo to be born sometime this winter.

Some Happy News!Well, I can announce that Tom and I are expecting a baby and we are very happy. As I am sure you’ll understand, we needed time to wait for results and tell our families. Thank you for all you kindness, good wishes and support (even if it was based on speculation!). You all know how much I value my privacy, so I’m sure I can rely on you to respect that, particularly at this time.
Am I the only one who totally thought Mel C was a lesbian?

My friends and I called her Lezzie Spice. That was pretty mild compared to the names we gave the rest.
