While Jennifer Lopez commanded millions of dollars for the first photos of her twins, Ricky Martin’s newborn babies will not receive such an honor. According to NYDN, celebrity weekly magazines did not reach out to Ricky to appear on their covers with his twin boys. Because Ricky kept the identity of the mother secret, one editor dubbed the situation “icky.”

“We aren’t jumping like we usually do,” one editor said. “We don’t think he is going to tell the backstory, so the whole thing just seems kind of icky.”

Word in magazine land is that someone will end up running a photo of Martin (who admitted last week that he is now caring for twin sons delivered through an unnamed surrogate) and his babies somewhere in the glossies, but that the family isn’t cover-worthy.

“When someone seems like they are hiding something, it’s a big turnoff to the public, who want to share in celebrities’ lives,” another editor spilled. “No one really cared about Clay Aiken becoming a single dad, either.”

Although the tabs remained uninterested in the babies, they’re very interested in the babies’ mother. The National Enquirer is reportedly working over-time to track down the woman and get an exclusive interview.

This is actually interesting. I agree with the magazines but let’s be real, they wouldn’t have wanted him anyway. He’s not famous enough anymore. However he’s still big in the Latin community so I wonder if they’d buy up…or if they’d be homophobic or whatever. Did I just say that?

Ooooh, People en Espanol doesn’t even want the pictures? Damn, how the mighty have fallen.
