Lindsay Lohan’s blabby father, Michael Lohan, announced this week that he is engaged to girlfriend Erin Muller, who, at 24 years old, is just two years older than his daughter.

Michael claimed that while he’s engaged, he’s not “officially” engaged. What does that mean? There’s still time to get a piece, ladies!

“We picked out a ring, but it’s not official.” But although Muller accepted his proposal, and he’s not exactly keeping the nuptial news under wraps, he says he’s holding off on officially announcing the engagement until “some family issues are resolved.”

Lohan was quick to clarify that his cancer-stricken father’s failing health is “the real reason.”

Not to mention that other small outstanding concern, namely his possible paternity of 13-year-old Ashley Kaufmann, allegations which surfaced earlier this year.

“We’re waiting for the paternity test and my father’s situation to be resolved.”

Don’t expect to see a double Lohan wedding: Michael took time away from his happy announcement to bitch about his daughter’s girlfriend, Samantha Ronson.

“I’m not happy,” Michael Lohan says. “Ever since [Lindsay] got out of rehab and all these people came back into her life, things haven’t been right.

“People like Samantha Ronson don’t need to be around Lindsay. She shouldn’t be dragging Lindsay around nightclubs. Who was Samantha Ronson before Lindsay Lohan? She was nobody. She is using her for her own gain. All these people have inserted themselves into her life like parasites, and it’s not right. I’m done with them.”

Michael ended the interview by noting that ex-wife Dina is “kiss ass,” who should be more of a mother to Lindsay and less of a best friend.
