Lindsay Lohan skipped her paternal grandfather’s wake this weekend, and instead spent her time shopping in Manhattan with girlfriend Samantha Ronson. Michael Lohan, Lindsay’s blabby dad, issued a statement on Thursday saying his father died, and he hoped his children would attend his funeral services in Long Island.
“I notified all my kids and my lawyer notified Dina’s attorney.
“Let’s see if she has the decency and respect to bring my kids to the wake and funeral. This will show her true colors!”
Lindsay and Michael spent last month bitterly feuding over Lindsay’s sobriety and relationship with Sam. It probably shouldn’t come as a total shock to Michael that his daughter wasn’t going to attend any event with him, regardless of the circumstances.

I doubt she was close to pepaw in life, so no need to make a show at death. That’s my standard, at least. I hope she at least sent some flowers or a Harry & David basket or summink.

You’d think Daddy would just cut his losses when he realized that to get communicate with his daughter, he needed to put out a press release.

I think it sucks that she didn’t go and pay her respects but, with the bullshit that’s going on with her dad, I don’t blame her.
