During a hearing yesterday in a packed Florida courtroom, an attorney for Anna Nicole Smith claimed Anna hired a dressmaker after the death of her son Daniel to create an ensemble for her to wear at her own funeral. Someone had death on the brain, yo.

Attorney Ron Rale said Stern had told him that Smith had been working with a seamstress on a dress for her own funeral.

“There’s a dress Anna Nicole had, the dressmaker had been preparing a dress,” Rale said.

The presiding judge, Larry Seidlin, claimed he understood special measures would need to be taken in this case, and would do everything possible to do what was best for Anna Nicole. “We want to show respect and dignity to the body of Ms. Smith,” said Seidlin. “Beauty was important to her. She wants to look beautiful and we want to make sure that occurs.”
