A fifty-something rock star in rehab? No way! Totally shocked? Me neither: Eddie Van Halen admitted himself into a rehab clinic. The Van Halen guitarist made the announcement via his website. Who even knew Eddie Van Halen had a website?

“I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That’s why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110 percent that I feel I owe you and want to give you.”

Van Halen announced last month that their long-awaited reunion tour with singer David Lee Roth was called off. I guess we now have a pretty good indication as to why.
