I have to applaud Dawn and Jolly for standing up for God. This whole debate over a celebrating with the hatred and sexual innuendos is appalling. Have any of you heard of the Ten Commandments? Not that I am God, and I don’t even claim to be anywhere as perfect as he, but I do know the difference between right and wrong, and what God considers sin. Let’s dissect for a moment all the sins in this chat room according to the Ten Commandments.
“Thou shall not covet.” Many of you men are doing that just wishing to add Brittany to your trophies you want to collect in life. While she is on the way to being single, I am not for sure if the divorce is finalized yet, she is still not something to dream of having.
“Thou shall make idols.” While it is good to admire someone for their talent…to idol them almost worship them is not! Many of you are idolizing Brittany in a way that is very displeasing to God.
“Thou shall not commit adultery” This one is directed at the men again along with the covet. Whether you are single or not, I still consider all sexual relationships outside of marriage adultery. God designed sex to be wonderful, passionate and between a man and a women in the confines of marriage. Sex was never intended to be lustful and outside of marriage, but alas that is what it is coming to be. I say shame to the female writer boasting that she has had sex since she was 13, you should be shamed, and as a result you are now pregnant and only 15. I hope that you won’t follow in Brittany’s footsteps and realize that you are going to have to grow up only too quickly. At least finish school, it will be hard, but it will be the best thing for you and your child.

She lacks ‘class’, claim those who worry that they lack it. She is a bad mother, say those who worry that if they had the opportunities for fun that she has, they would neglect their children. She should grow up, say those who fear the loss of their youth. On and on. A fear for every person.

Sad commentary on our society that we fawn over people with such dysfunction in their lives. We idolize the wrong people for sure and our fascination with their surreal and problematic lives simply adds fuel to drive their narcissistic egos to the point where they feel they are somehow above all their screaming, adoring Liliputian fans who pay homage to their greatness by throwing money at them.

Thankfully Britney hasn’t used her stardom to make political statements but she has been spoiled by fame and success and ruined by her association with Paris Hilton. For all her worth Britney can’t seem to find the right friends to hang out with, right guy to marry, or the time to be a good mother and role model. It’s very unfortunate that her career is where it is but ultimately she is responsible for that as well as her rather bizarre behaviors.

You could do your part to help rid society of the negative influence of pop tarts like Britney by not supporting the media industries (i.e., Hollywood, Music and Fashion) that hire them to flaunt their sensuality and selfish, materialistic attitudes to the detriment of our youth and culture. We should be promoting those things that provide good values and promote the development of good character and responsible behavior in our youth and society.

Nobody is worth the millions that Britney has earned by flaunting herself, pretending to be what she’s not [implants], partying irresponsibly, and otherwise making a public spectacle of her private parts. We’ve seen it all and just like Madonna, there’s no more mystery about her. Her career is flagging. She should retire and go back to living in Louisiana where she can be with family and be more focused on being a good mother to her children.

It’s not about bling; it’s not about money or fame! It IS all about substance and character and things that DO matter. Who you are is more important than what you are. What you do with your money is more important than how much money you have…

You can make a difference by voting your conscience and choosing carefully where you spend your hard earned dollars:

- DON’T subsidize those in the media industry who are working to undermine our moral code and traditional family values and culture and whose superficial attitudes and immoral behavior is driven by what sells; they clearly don’t deserve or need any more of our money!

- DO support those everyday citizens around you who strive to make positive contributions to our culture, society and way of life. Honor the real heroes of our society — the doctors, research scientists, engineers, tradesmen, laborers, farmers, etc. who dedicate their lives to bettering society as well as those policemen, firemen, and men and women in the military who put their life on the line so that we can live safely and enjoy the freedoms we have.

WOW You guys really get worked up, don’t you? Stumbled on this while on the FOX website and can only say, geez, get a life! The world needs our energy directed toward important issues……..not dissecting the lives of rich, indulged, children and adults.

This is my chance to advertise and promote CLASSICAL MUSIC! No such scandals, rumors, negative feelings, etc. exist in the modern world of Classical Music. Don’t let it die. Go to concerts, buy CD’s, support your local classical music radio station. Hire live musicians for events instead of using DJ’s and CD’s. Trust me, your life will be enhanced and enriched.

So go on. Stop worrying about other people’s lives and focus on the betterment of your own - which can be achieved through Classical Music.

I rarely comment on ANYTHING I read online, but I did want to thank the few folks who managed to express themselves without using language or sentiment that continues to destroy our childrens’ future.

I felt some of you on both sides of the issue managed to express your feelings without attacking others, and that seems to me to be what we should all strive to do.

I particularly wanted to thank Jeff for his intelligent, well-written comments. It is true we drive what the media and Hollywood spit out. It’s time we each decide what’s best for our families and by making wise personal choices, effect the way the world is changing.

Oh, for goodness sakes. Being a young mom myself (three kids by the age of 24 - and STILL married to my man of 23 years) I know EXACTLY what she went through…the changes in her own body…and the absolute thrill of getting back to feeling sexy and appealing after all that. Just because you aren’t the object of photography and we don’t really care what YOU looked like after a couple of babies…don’t judge HER. She’s just young and without (apparently) thoughtful and present guidance in her everyday life. She’s learning through her mistakes…who hasn’t?…and we need to cut her some slack. I think she’s pretty in those photos. And modest enough to not show everything. Forget the crotch shots…I’ve been to clubs myself with no panties but free (thank god) of the zillions of photographers just waiting for the picture. How would YOU feel if a bunch of people were actually TRYING to look up your skirt?

To those using religion to base your diatribe on I thought you all were suppose to be tolerant of others, faults and short comings? Boy am I glad I’m spiritual and NOT RELIGIOUS!

It’s really sad to see so much hate among the people writing on this blog!! It’s even sadder to see people using God as a means to judge and smear this woman’s character. I thought that those of us who believe in God are supposed to be tolerant and understanding of one another. Doesn’t the Bible teach us that we should “love thy neighbor as you would love thyself”? Are we not supposed to leave judgment to God?

Having said that, I agree that this child of God has many issues that she needs to work out. What created these problems? I can think of many: Whether it’s growing up too fast, too soon; or not having someone in her life to teach her about boundaries; or perhaps that she did not have proper role models; or the fact that most of the people around her only seek to reap the benefits of her work/fame. They are her issues.

We all have crosses to bear and I’m sure we all have skeletons in the closet. We should let her deal with her issues her way and in her own time. In the end, we should trust that GOD will help her find a solution. He always does!!!!
