Jessica Simpson’s blabby/creepy daddy, Joe Simpson, spoke out about the type of film roles recently offered to his daughter. Papa Joe claimed Jessica was offered a role as a “porn star,” and promised she would win an Academy Award for the role if she took it. Bleh.
“The last script that came to us was for Jessica to be a porn star,” Jessica’s father and manager, Joe Simpson, told People at Thursday’s ABC Television Critics Association party in Beverly Hills.
“We were promised we would win an Oscar with that,” says Simpson, 49. “I was like, ‘Eh, we’ll just buy a [statue of a] little man and keep our clothes on.’ “
Dead or alive, Linda Lovelace could probably out-act Jessica any day.

I think it’s fantastic that she’s still carrying around the same dog instead of following the Parisite and BritBrit in their quest to own as many accessory dogs as humanly possible.
And, I’m pretty glad that she’s not going to do the porn star movie.

Yeah, it had to have been for that Jenna Jameson movie. I remember Jameson saying something like, “The actress will be lucky to play me — they could win an Oscar…” or something along those lines. Then she skipped out on all the meetings because she was busy not eating.
I haven’t heard about the movie since. I guess when Jessica Simpson turns down a role, there’s nowhere to go but down…

So when are we going to get our “Janie’s got a gun” moment with Jessica and Joe?
I say it’s a shame. You should do the pornstar role when you are young and hot! I mean no offense meant to Julianne Moore, but we would have appreciated it more had she played a porn star 5-10 years earlier.
