Although personally, I think they should have screwed her the same way she screwed them, Allure Magazine chose to pretty up and publish the photos from Britney Spears’ disastrous photoshoot.

The shots will run in the magazine’s September issue without an accompanying interview: Britney was reportedly erratic and unfocused during the photoshoot, before bolting from the studio without conducting the interview she promised. Despite this, the magazine’s editor, Linda Wells, still kissed Brit’s nasty ass.

“Britney showed up for Allure’s cover shoot on time and ready to work,” she writes in the September issue.

Wells writes that the pop star did display some odd behavior at the shoot. “She was entirely unselfconscious: She took off her wig and then stripped down to the waist, for no apparent reason, before sitting for hair and makeup.”

Wells describes Spears as “agreeable and cooperative” during the shoot.

Spears wore a “shoulder-length brown wig over her own closely cropped blonde hair,” as well as a Cartier bracelet and her own Dolce & Gabbana jeans.

But that’s where the good news ends. As it turns out, Spears never sat for her promised interview with the magazine.

“She missed four appointments for an interview with Allure,” Wells writes. The cover story then turned into a first-person essay from the interviewer, Judith Newman, detailing her frustrations with Spears’s invariable cancellations and delays.

Ugh.
