Brad Pitt approached a group of photographers in New York City yesterday and respectfully asked them to back off when his four children are out in public with him. Brad suggested the paps should employ their long-range telephoto lens if they wanted close-up shots of the family.
“Anything you guys can do long-lens would be much appreciated. You’re workin’ hard, you guys.”
Brad’s delicate approach apparently worked: during an outing today to a hot dog vendor with son Maddox Chivan, 6, photographers gave father and son a few extra feet while on the sidewalk. After they ordered and returned to their waiting SUV, Brad yelled to the paps, “Much better with the kids, you guys are better!”

I’m glad that they backed off when he asked. I’m sure it’s got to be a pain in the ass to have them in your face all the time but, the people that go crazy and throw fits at them, don’t get it solved either. So, maybe being nice is the way to go.

I agree. I am eternally grateful that I’m not famous, with paparazzi all up in my shit. I’D freak out and just make it worse, I’m sure. Good training for when the kiddoes get older too and have to deal with their own media attention. Maybe he could teach a class about how the paparazzi and celebs could co-exist peacefully….

See what a little class and decorum will get you?
