Despite a pending hit and run criminal case, Britney Spears still hasn’t bothered to get herself a valid driver’s license. According to the DMV, Britters has not had a valid California driver’s license ever.
A DMV official told TMZ, “At this point, Britney Spears does not have a valid California driver’s license. She has an application pending that she never completed.”
This fact has not stopped Britters from driving: this weekend she was spotted driving her two children around Malibu, and later running out of gas at 12am. Britters begged paparazzi to get gas for her staled Mercedes.

What’s the big deal with the Cali license anyway? Are we supposed to get re-licensed in every state we visit now? Damn, and I was hoping to visit NYC this weekend.

Isn’t she a CA resident? Even if she had a license from some other state wouldn’t it be required that she eventually get a CA driver’s license? What I really wonder about her is how she’s still got money–why isn’t she like every other washed-up former child star who’s broke and knocking over liquor stores?

Not every state you visit but every state you take residence in for more than 6 mos. It’s not really that difficult.
But, she really should NOT be driving whether she has a license or not.
