According to the notoriously-unreliable News of the World, Pete Doherty tried to kill himself after he learned his ex-girlfriend, Kate Moss, got engaged to some dude.
The singer reportedly downed a bottle of pills because he couldn’t deal with Kate’s new relationship with The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. Dun dun duuuuun!
The troubled star’s minder, Johnny “Headlock” Jeannevol told us: “Pete’s been really wound up over Kate showing off her new man.
“He saw an opportunity to take an overdose and took it. He told me he didn’t know what the pills were but thought ‘fuck it’ and took them all. He doesn’t care what drugs do to him; in fact, he likes finding out.”
Another pal of the rocker said: “Pete was so low during rehab his legal team considered sectioning him under the Mental Health Act in order to get him the treatment he needed.
“It was touch and go with Pete for a while but he pulled through in the end.”
Despite this recent drama, Pete was released from the Clouds House rehab clinic in the UK last week.
When will I get to bust out the title “Pete Doherty Arrested Again?”

I’m pretty sure, with all the drugs that hole takes on a regular basis, it’d take a lot more than a bottle of “whatever” to off him. He’s probably immune to pretty much any kind of medication out there now.
