Sorry, dudes who love Food Network Italian broads: Giada De Laurentiis is pregnant with her first child; therefore, you’ll have to wait at least nine months before you can knock her up too. Giada announced on the Today Show that she and husband Todd Thompson expect their first child, a girl, sometime in April.
“When I found out I was pregnant I was in complete shock,” De Laurentiis, 37, admitted. “I truly didn’t believe it. I honestly thought, ‘there has got to be a mistake.’ ”
But as she watched the sonograms – first a “lima bean” then a “lemon” – the Everyday Italian chef said that when she could make out fingers and toes, it “brought tears to my eyes.”
Giada claimed she’s been craving “starches,” which is very convienant, because that’s the only thing I ever see her making on her show.
